COEL began over 30 years ago as Cambridge Partitions, a small drylining and partitions company based in Cambridge. In 2000, the business became COEL (Cambridge Office Environments Limited), and has since grown to a team of 45, delivering fully managed workplace design and fit-out services.

From its early days, when every project required the entire team to be hands-on, COEL has maintained a focus on strong client relationships and collaborative delivery. While the company now manages larger and more complex projects, this client-first approach remains at the heart of its success.

COEL’s Cambridge roots have provided a solid foundation for growth, enabling the company to expand its reach across the Oxford-Cambridge Arc and further afield, supporting clients in Oxford, Norwich, London, and beyond.
